Errata

Following publication of the 2007 edition Statistics on International Development (SID) in October DFID has identified errors in the volume of expenditure reported as Sector Budget Support and Other Financial Aid. These errors relate to the classification of two sector budget support programmes in Ghana and Pakistan which wrongly appeared in the category "Other Financial Aid" in the publication. While these projects were classified correctly by project officers at the project set-up phase and identified in the DFID Annual Report 2007 the correct classification was not transferred to the system used to generate the SID tables. These errors affect Tables 3, 13, 14.1, 14.3 and 20. Revised versions of these tables are now available. DFID has recently introduced a new computer system which merges the relevant data capture and reporting processes. This should ensure that this type of error will not reoccur in future publications.
