Statistics on International Development 2004

Statistics on International Development 2004 provides details of total external assistance, both bilateral (country to country) and through multilateral agencies, from all official UK sources.

The statistics are presented on a financial year (April-March) basis, with the exception of the international comparisons, which are on a calendar year basis.

It also reports on development progress in individual aid recipient countries with tables covering most of the indicators for the first 7 Millennium Development Goals together with a short commentary on progress towards all the goals, but with a special focus on the health goals.

ERRATA 

Since the publication of the 2004 edition of Statistics on International Development (SID), we have discovered that some of the expenditure on Technical Co-operation personnel (see Table 12) was miscoded. We have reviewed the information on our database and have prepared the attached table which sets out revised headline figures. All tables will be fully revised in the next edition of SID, due in October 2005.

Note that the tables in SID on-line do not show these amendments but the incorrect figures have been highlighted. The tables that are mainly affected are 3, 7, 9, 11.1, 12 and 13. In such cases please refer to the errata table (75 kb) attached for revised totals.
