This section describes a number of ways in which the UK is providing assistance to aid recipient countries on debt. It covers debt relief on bilateral aid debts, bilateral export credits and CDC loans: the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Initiative and a capacity building programme on debt management.
