Meeting Our Promises: Basic services for everyone, everywhere
From the Consultation Document:
How best can donors and developing countries increase access to basic services, such as health and education, in poor countries?
- How can this be done in countries where the government is unwilling or unable to do so?
Supplementary questions:
Are the proposals in the speech for stepping up support for health, education and social security the right ones? In addition to governments, what are the roles that NGOs, faith groups and the private sector etc. can play?
- How can basic services be provided to make bigger impacts on people’s lives? How can the gap in the number of teachers and health workers in developing countries be filled most effectively? How can the needs of the poorest and of women be better met?
