UK Action Plan 2006/07 - interim progress report
In July 2006, the Prime Minister asked Hilary Benn, Secretary of State for
International Development, to lead the Government's work on combating overseas
corruption, working closely with colleagues. The Government has published its
first annual action plan
(46 kb). It focuses on:
- investigating and prosecuting bribery overseas;
- eliminating money laundering and recovering stolen assets;
- promoting responsible business conduct in developing countries; and
- supporting international efforts to fight corruption
