Working together inspite of the distance

Photo of: Buccoo school researchTeachers and students at North Harringay Primary have been working with Buccoo Government Primary School in Tobago. The Global School Partnership programme has funded visits between the two schools for the headteachers and is now supporting the schools to work on joint classroom-based projects.

Learn about different lives and cultures 

The two schools are working together to learn about each other's lives and cultures, and explore the effects of climate change and water pollution on their local areas. They have studied the nearby reef and wetlands in Tobago, and the school's roof garden in Haringey, and are sharing the results of their research with their partners.

These are big concepts for primary school children to take on board, but our partnership has successfully helped them to understand the impact that their actions have on all of us in our increasingly interdependent world."
