Iraqi Civil Society Fund

 

Eligible organisations

Non-governmental organisations who can demonstrate that they:

  • Are registered in Iraq
  • Are able to work through Iraqi or international partners
  • Share the main objectives of the fund
  • Seek to promote political and social harmony in Iraq
  • Have the necessary resources to undertake any proposed activities

Funding criteria

The Iraqi Civil Society Fund (ICSF) is a fund that has been developed for 3 main general objectives:

  • To strengthen the capacity of Iraqi civil society organisations to better address the needs of the poor and of vulnerable groups
  • To help ensure that participating civil society organisations are able to contribute to local/community initiatives and increase access to information.
  • To Support organisations in the non government sector to work better with government to develop and improve social policy across Iraq.

How to apply

Funding for the CSF has now ended. DFID is currently evaluating how best to support the needs of Iraqi CSOs and will update this page when this evaluation is complete.
