1. To support established
factual television producers wishing to produce programmes, for
mainstream UK transmission, that promote understanding of the developing
world.
2. To provide a surce of funding for
developing work on factual television projects made in and about
developing countries. Grants are intended to help cover the costs of
research, pilot filming and the procurement of filming rights and
access.
3. To improve the quality and quantity of
viable programme proposals in this area of output, likely to interest
commissioning editors.
