Disasters and Emergencies Overseas: How You Can Help

Famine, floods, earthquakes and conflicts: whatever the emergency, fast action is needed to save lives.

The world’s poorest countries are often the hardest hit by disasters. A new publication called Disasters and Emergencies Overseas: How You Can Help, published by DFID in partnership with the Disasters and Emergencies Committee (DEC), an umbrella organisation for the UK’s 13 biggest charities, tells you how DFID and other organisations respond to major disasters and what you can do to help save the lives of people in an international emergency.
