Volume I of the report meets the department’s obligation to report on its activities and progress toward the Millennium Development Goals under the International Development (Reporting and Transparency) Act 2006. Detailed information on DFID spending, performance and efficiency can be found in Volume II, the accounts. The audited statutory accounts include spend against Parliamentary Estimate, and a statement of DFID’s assets and liabilities. They also show how resources have been used to meet development objectives.
