The UK aid logo is to help publicly acknowledge that the development programmes we and our partners deliver are funded by UK taxpayers.
From this page, staff in DFID and its partner governments and organisations can download the artwork for the UK aid logo and instructions on how and when to use it.
All organisations delivering programmes funded by the UK’s Department for International Development are required to use the UK aid logo in accordance with the standards available on this page. No other organisation is permitted to use the logo without express permission from DFID.
The correct representation of the logo is in the files you can download from this page. It must not be altered in any way.
Should we replace goods that carry the UK aid logo to take account of this change?
No. We are asking all our partners to bring the logo in gradually on new projects and on items that need replacing.
Won’t it be confusing that there are two versions of the logo in use at the same time?
There are some drawbacks to the gradual change but we think they are worth it in order to ensure that no extra tax-payers money is spent.
When does the UK aid logo need to be used and when does the DFID corporate logo need to be used? What’s the difference?
The UK aid logo is used to mark the aid that we deliver and to raise awareness of our work among public audiences. It is used by DFID and its partners. The DFID corporate logo marks our institutional presence and is only used by DFID.
