Working overseas

The vast majority of development posts require candidates with a good degree, and very often a second degree, plus substantial post-graduate experience gained in a developing country in some specialism not readily available there. Voluntary organisations can offer a good means of obtaining the experience necessary for a DFID development post.

Staff appointed in country

DFID undertakes recruitment in many of the developing countries where we undertake development activity. All vacancies are advertised in the press of the country concerned. Candidates can be of any nationality, provided they are eligible to work in the country in question.
