Members must agree not to post, upload or transmit to the DFID Alumni site material that:
DFID shall determine your compliance with the above guidelines and reserves the right to delete from the site without prior notice any material that it deems to be non-complying or otherwise objectionable for any reason. DFID may take any action with respect to material it believes may create liability for itself or any third parties.
You are not permitted to use the DFID Alumni Association name, URL, trademarks or other material in connection with "spam" e-mail messages.
Members are responsible for the content of material that they post on the website. You must indemnify us on demand for any losses we suffer because of legal action taken because of a posting you have made.
You are solely responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any username and password that you have been given to use on the DFID Alumni website. You may not share these with or transfer them to any third parties.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your username or any other breach of security regarding the website.
We expect many members to have strong views about matters discussed, but the website is subject to the laws of libel and you and the Alumni Association could be sued if you are not careful in what you say. You should not make libellous postings or any postings that are illegal or breach copyright, database or any other rights. It is your responsibility to check this. We do not accept any liability in this respect. DFID Alumni Association shall have no liability for:
any loss or injury caused by its actions, omissions, or negligence, or for contingencies beyond its control, in procuring, compiling, or delivering information; any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the information regardless of how caused, or delays or interruptions in delivery of the Information; any decision made or action taken or not taken in reliance on the information contained on the site;
Although we will take every effort to ensure that the DFID Alumni Website is free from computer viruses, you are responsible for implementing sufficient procedures and virus checks (including anti-virus and other security checks) to ensure that no damage can be made to your computer equipment, computer files, or data by a computer virus. We do not accept liability for any damage caused by a virus transmitted from our website or through its content.
Any third-party sites to which the site may link are not under DFID Alumni Association control, and DFID Alumni Association does not assume any responsibility or liability for any information, content, communications or materials available on such third-party sites.
Any communication, information or other material you transmit or post to the site, including any answers to questions, comments, suggestions, or other data supplied by you will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary.
The DFID Alumni Association reserves the right to change these conditions of membership at any time and will post any changes on the Website. You should review the terms on a regular basis to ensure that you are aware of changes as you will be legally bound by the amended terms if you continue to use the Website after the changes.
