Introduction

It is IPA's mission to provide superior procurement, supply and advisory services to principals in all parts of the developing world on a strictly independent basis. IPA closely adheres to the specific rules and guidelines of its principals. IPA guarantees an efficient, fully transparent and accountable procurement and advisory process. IPA's core business

IPA distinguishes three different areas of core business activities:

  • We act as procurement and development aid consultants to projects and programmes throughout the developing world, competitively supplying qualified, well trained professionals on short, medium or long-term basis. This is one of our fastest growing lines of business.
  • We act as independent procurement agents for an on behalf of third parties, taking over the buying portfolio of our principals, from needs assessment and specification writing until final delivery and commissioning of the goods. IPA ensures the client a transparent administration of all transactions and regularly reports in user-friendly, pre-agreed formats.
  • We are a registered supplier for a number of special products to a variety of UN agencies and NGOs. IPA is also regularly contracted as a turn-key supplier by a growing number of principals who realise the tremendous benefits of a reputable one-stop procurement, training and commissioning shop.

IPA's network

International Procurement Agency directly employs a staff of approximately 40 professionals world-wide, the majority of which is working at the regional headquarters in The Netherlands (head office) and the United States of America. A varying number of short and medium term experts is seconded to development projects and programmes throughout Eastern Europe and the African continent. IPA maintains an intricate network of dedicated agents throughout the developing world.

IPA's vast experience

IPA is the preferred procurement service provider for bilateral aid to the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. IPA executed numerous World Bank funded projects throughout the years in various parts of sub-Saharan Africa, the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. IPA is an acknowledged procurement partner of several UN-bodies, the European Commission and Non Governmental Organisations ranging from World Vision to local grass root initiatives. IPA successfully handled long term import support programmes for and on behalf of several African recipient governments.
