Christian Aid - PPA

Christian Aid is the official relief and development agency of 40 British and Irish churches and works to support sustainable development, alleviate poverty, civil society and to provide disaster relief in South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Christian Aid campaigns to change the rules and systems that keep people poor, speaking out on issues such as justice in tax and trade, climate change and Third World Debt.

A three year Programme Partnership Arrangement has been agreed with Christian Aid with an initial investment of £7,255,927 for 2011-12 (£5,995,867 for the general PPA and £1,260,060 for the Conflict, Security and Humanitarian PPA).
