ASF is based in Belgium but works in fragile or post-conflict countries and has permanent offices in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Uganda and Nepal. ASF’s aim is to contribute to the establishment of institutions and mechanisms that allow for access to independent and impartial justice, and which are capable of guaranteeing the protection of fundamental rights (civil and political, economic and social, including the right to a fair trial).
A three year Programme Partnership Arrangement has been agreed with ASF with an initial investment of £1,450,451 for 2011-12.
