Article 19 takes its name from Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) on freedom of expression and opinion. In collaboration with partners across the world, Article 19 aims to strengthen national capacities, and build or reform institutions and policies to protect transparency and the free flow of information.
A three year Programme Partnership Arrangement has been agreed with Article 19 with an initial investment of £542,687 for 2011-12.
