Innovation for Education is an opportunity to test new ideas to improve the quality of education in Rwanda. The aim is to demonstrate effective and equitable ways of improving children’s learning. Civil society and the private sector will be supported to pilot innovative projects with the potential for scale up by government.
Innovation for Education will be funded by the UK Department for International Development and implemented in partnership with the Rwanda Ministry of Education.Innovation in Education aims to identify successful ways of improving the quality of education within six thematic areas. Each of these themes will have a funding ‘window’ and organisations are invited to address one or more within their projects;

Funding of between £50,000 and £800,000 will be awarded for projects lasting approximately two years and are expected to commence in December 2012.
