RAGS application process

RAGS applications go through the following two-stage process

sewingStage 1

  • Eligible parties prepare and submit concept notes that are independently evaluated
  • Shortlisted applicants are invited to submit full project proposals.

Stage 2

  • Proposals are received and evaluated externally by technical experts and internally by the RAGS Advisory Committee.  (The Advisory Committee comprises the Fund Manager, three independent garment sector and labour standards experts and DFID, and is responsible for setting and maintaining the strategic direction of RAGS and ensuring that the programme remains aligned with its overall goal and purpose.)
  • Successful applicants are notified of the status of their application and are provided with feedback on their proposals.
  • Grant arrangement letters are finalised once proposals meet the criteria set out in the RAGS Proposal Writing Guidelines and have addressed all the issues raised by the technical experts and the RAGS Advisory Committee.
  • Project implementation begins.

Please note that a call for grant applications took place in 2010 and approved projects from this call are currently being implemented.

At this time, RAGS is not accepting new grant applications.  Please contact the Fund Manager for further information.
