DFID portal

The DFID Supplier Portal is the online database that holds all information and financial details for individuals and organisations who supply DFID with goods or services and to whom DFID makes payments.  It is the only means of access to compete for live tenders above the EU threshold.  Complete tendering is electronic and failure to register will prohibit suppliers from being considered for future opportunities.

What the DFID Supplier Portal can do for you

  • Personalised email alerts
By creating your company profile on DFID Supplier Portal and selecting to receive automated email alerts you can ensure that you receive alerts relating to future contracting opportunities which are filtered by your category of expertise and countries of interest.
  • DFID can see you!
Once you have registered with the DFID Supplier Portal you will be able to register for tendering exercises and your profile will also be made visible when DFID searches for suitable suppliers / contractors during low value sourcing exercises. (Please note that you may not always be eligible for certain categories of procurement that require approval)
  • No more paper or cd-rom tenders!
Everything is done online; expressing your interest in participating in a tendering exercise, submitting your documentation and for queries you can use the ‘dialogues’ function on the portal to submit and view any clarification questions via the DFID Supplier Portal during a live competition.
  • More control over your company information
When you create your company profile, you can update your contact details, bank details and company supporting information at any time.  It is vital for DFIDs decision making and payment processes that we hold accurate information and by providing you with access to the Portal, you are able to ensure the data we hold about your organisation is correct.  DFID can then use this information for managing future business needs, such as fund recipient payments, e-tendering and other e-procurement tools that can help reduce both our administration costs and yours.
  • Instant access to financial information

You simply log on to track the progress of your invoices and payments
