Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell today published the 2010-11 annual report for the Department for International Development.
The report details the department's activities, its spending and progress towards the Millennium Development Goals over the twelve month period.
This latest release also highlights some of the results achieved by the department's country programmes from the previous year for 2009-10.These include:
Announcing the report, Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell said:
"Over this last year we have laid the foundations for change while continuing to respond to the needs of the world’s poorest people. The next twelve months will see us beginning to deliver our planned results. "The scale of the challenge remains significant but so too is the scale of our ambition. Our aid can make the difference between poverty and prosperity for millions across the world."
