Net benefit: how UKaid is saving lives from malaria

12 January 2010

Photo of Maxwell and his motherIt only costs a fiver but it means that Maxwell in Kenya can sleep safe. He won't get bitten by a mosquito.

He won't contract malaria. He won't die.

Maxwell is one of over half of all young children in Kenya provided with an insecticide treated bed net thanks to UKaid from the Department for International Development.

We're working with organisations like Malaria No More UK and Malaria Consortium to make sure everyone who needs it has access to a bed net.

To help make this a reality UKaid is supporting the delivery of 50 million bed nets by 2013 to families at risk of malaria.

Saving lives every day. And every night.
