Officials asked the Board to note the updated assessments of Corporate Risks and the upcoming NAO Review of DFID risk management. The Board agreed that some of the risks would need further consideration in this post Spending Review Settlement period.
Officials outlined a proposal for revising risk management. The Board welcomed the revised approach, asked for further work and asked that risks be clearly derived from the SRP and Business Plan priorities.
The Board noted the report on September expenditure.
Audit CommitteeThe Audit Committee met on the 30th September and welcomed the new members, Rachel English and Anwar Ahmed to the meeting. The draft Price Waterhouse Cooper Report on Risk Management was presented to the Committee.
Security Committee There had not been a Security Committee meeting since the last Management Board.
Investment CommitteeThe Investment Committee met on the 25th October. The performance budgeting work was taken forward as part of DFID’s Spending Review bid.
Senior Leadership CommitteeThe SLC met to discuss Senior Civil Servant restructuring, change management and temporary appointments.
Development Committee:Over the next 6 months the Development Committee will work on implementation of policy priorities detailed in the Business Plan and ensure that new and emerging policy is output focussed.
