Procurement is responsible for DFID's contractual relationships with suppliers of goods and services. These include consultants, agents, research institutions and contractors. Procurement provides advice to programme officers on appropriate procurement strategies, and manage or support contractual processes from tendering to payment of the final invoice.

Human Resources Division (HRD) includes departments working on HR core functions such as diversity and health and wellbeing. The division also manages DFID's security, facilities, health and safety and office services.
Human Resources Advisory GroupHuman Resources Advisory Group (HRAG) provides a range of services to support effective people management across DFID under the "Making It Happen" initiative. The overriding objective is to ensure DFID maximises its contribution to meet the poverty reduction targets in the Millennium Development Goals by efficiently deploying its staff resources. Information Systems DepartmentThe Information Systems Department delivers all aspects of IT services to DFID's two UK sites and to approximately 65 offices in developing countries. It also develops new systems in line with DFID's IT Strategy.
Knowledge and Information ManagementThe Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) Team ensures that DFID meets its legal obligations under freedom of information, data protection, records management and copyright legislation. It is also responsible for the Public Enquiry Point, eLibrary services and support for DFID's intranet, website and electronic document and records management system. As outlined in DFID's new Knowledge & Information Strategy, DFID is seeking to make better use of its knowledge and information to eliminate poverty and become a leading knowledge-based organisation. A new Knowledge and Information Programme has been introduced to support DFID staff make the changes needed to better share knowledge and information with the public and its partners.
Capital Portfolio UnitThe Capital Portfolio Unit supports the delivery of IT-enabled change projects, overseas estates construction and refurbishment projects, and IT infrastructure improvements. It is DFID's Centre of Excellence for Project and Programme Management.
Internal Audit Department (IAD) provides an independent and objective opinion to the Accounting Officer and DFID managers on risk management, control and governance. It reviews the policies, procedures and systems established to ensure:
The Counter-Fraud Unit, located within IAD, leads DFID's response to suspicions of fraudulent or corrupt practice. The unit supports management in improving systems and operations to manage the risk that fraud and corruption pose to taxpayers' funds.
