About National Statistics in DFID

Statistics labelled as ‘National Statistics’ must meet certain criteria. They should for example be fit for purpose, methodologically sound, politically independent and transparently produced. All National Statistcs are produced in accordance with the ‘National Statistics Code of Practice’, which can be accessed on the UK Statistics Authority website.

Timetable of DFID National Statistics publications

DFID’s National Statistics publications are pre-announced on the ONS Publications Hub.  In accordance with the Code of Practice, we also publish a timetable of statistical releases for the following 12 month period below.  We pre-announce specific publication dates with the ONS Publications Hub 4-6 weeks prior to publication, and will update this page accordingly.

  • Statistics on International Development, 2007/08 to 2011/12 – to be published in September/October 2012
  • Provisional UK Official Development Assistance as a proportion of Gross National Income, 2012 – to be published in March/April 2013.
