Publication scheme

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, every public body in the UK must produce a publication scheme. This scheme aims to make it easy to access key information about DFID’s activities.

Categories of information contained in the publication scheme:

• Who we are and what we do - organisation, locations, contacts, legislation and strategies
• What we spend and how we spend it - financial information relating to projected and actual income and expenditure, tendering and procurement
• What our priorities are and how we are doing - our targets and our progress towards them
• How we make decisions - consultations, decision making processes, criteria and procedures
• Our policies and procedures - current written protocols for delivering our functions
• Lists and registers - information about DFID's functions, possessions and past Freedom of Information requests 
• The services we offer - advice and guidance, booklets, leaflets and media releases.
