The Public Enquiry Point is the initial point of contact for information on the work of the whole of the Department. The telephone helpline is open from 10am-4pm (GMT/BST), Monday to Friday. An answerphone is available at other times.
Customers who are deaf, have difficulty hearing or are speech impaired may prefer to send a text message to the Public Enquiry Point. Text messages can be sent to 01355 264562
If you have an enquiry about a specific project on our projects database, please email our Public Enquiry Point enquiry@dfid.gov.uk or call 0845 300 4100. Please include the project’s unique identifying number (either a 6 digit or 9 digit reference) along with your query.

DFID has become aware of an internet hoax which is offering jobs within our organisation. The hoax involves sending money for a Police Clearance Certificate and asks you to contact a firm of solicitors in London. Please do not respond to any unsolicited job offers purporting to be from DFID.
If you suspect the loss or misuse of DFID funds, resources or assets due to either fraud or corruption please contact us. You do not have to give your name and we will treat your information as confidential.
